Ritual Abuse - Introduction
As an introduction to the subject of Ritual Abuse we refer
to the following statement from the New Hope Healing Institute.
Ritual Abuse and Satanic Ritual Abuse... types of abuse we
don't want to talk about and don't want to believe exists... and
yet it does! So why is it so difficult to believe it exists? Why
are we afraid to try to understand the needs of the RA/SRA survivor?
Maybe it's because we don't want to believe such horrible atrocities
could happen. Maybe we don't want to accept responsibility for
allowing these kinds of abuses to continue. Maybe we've never
heard of any thing remotely like what these survivors have to
say.
Whatever the reason, there ARE survivors of Ritual Abuse and
Satanic Ritual Abuse. And these survivors experience HORRIBLE
atrocities that can't even be written out here because they are
so horrible. Take a moment of your time to learn about Ritual

Ritual abuse is most often attributed to Satanic cult activity.
However, it is not solely contained within that domain.
Many organizations that investigate ritual abuse, have identified
neo-Nazi groups, para-military organizations, some militia movements,
white supremacy organizations and several forms of off-beat Christianity
as also being involved with ritual abuse.
A Ritual is defined in short form as, any type of act or action
that is conducted repetitively.
The Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance defines Satanic
Ritual Abuse (SRA) as, 'the psychological, sexual and/or physical
assault on an unwilling human victim, committed by one or more
Satanists' whose primary motive is to fulfill a pre-determined ritual
in order to achieve a specific goal or satisfy the perceived needs
of their Christian deity (Satan).
Children are the most frequent victims of all types of ritual
abuse simply because they are the most innocent, vulnerable and
helpless in society.
Children are normally ritually abused with the full knowledge
of one or both parents, and in many cases, the abuse is generational.
Ritual abuse has also been identified as having occurred without
the parents' knowledge; at preschools, day-care centers, churches,
summer camps, or at the hands of babysitters and neighbors.
In the University of Colorado's Ritual Abuse Research Project,
most survivors reported that their mother, father or other family
member was the primary perpetrator of their ritual abuse, however,
other perpetrators that were identified in the report are: Physicians
30% - Priests 18% - Teachers
15%.
